As Hockerton is a Paris meeting, not a Council, and our gross income is £25,000 or less; we are obliged to complete "Part 2PM of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return" - please see that return by clicking on the buttons below.
You'll also see our Income & Expenditure for the financial year 2019-20.
STATEMENT From PFK-Littlejohn (who are appointed by Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd (SAAA) as the external auditor of our parish)
"The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has issued two new Statutory Instruments (SI) in Spring 2020 as a result of Covid-19: one in respect of permitting virtual meetings and one in respect of revisions to the reporting timetable for the 2019/20 financial year, see section 7 for details. It is important to note that the legislation permitting virtual meetings does not extend to parish meetings, hence as things currently stand parish meetings are still expected to hold physical meetings."
Andy Hall and I believe this is absurd and inappropriate as we're simply not going to go against the Covid-19 Government guidance and social distancing rules in order to hold a physical parish meeting during this pandemic; but we have met outdoors and discussed these accounts, thereby holding a mini meeting for the sole purpose of completing the accounts and forms accordingly.
These forms will be submitted to PFK-Littlejohn according to their prescribed deadlines.
